Is a comprehensive initiative designed to empower military members transitioning to civilian life and veterans seeking to re-enter the workforce.

The program is structured around five core competency domains, each crucial for success in the civilian workforce. We utilize a blended learning approach, combining the benefits of a flipped classroom model with both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) learning experiences to ensure maximum flexibility and engagement. Flipped Classroom Model: This model emphasizes pre-class preparation. Before each two-hour synchronous session, participants will engage with pre-recorded videos, readings, and other resources. This allows participants to come to the live session prepared to actively engage in discussions, activities, and personalized guidance, maximizing the value of your time and expertise.

THE VETERAN WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IS OFFERED IN BOTH VIRTUAL AND IN PERSON FORMATS OFFERING FLEXIBILITY AND CONVENIENCE TO ACCOMODATE PARTICIPANTS’ DIVERSE SCHEDULES AND LOCATIONS.

Participants can choose the format that best fits their needs. Regardless of the format,all participants will have access to program materials and instructor support.

THE PROGRAM IS DIVIDED INTO FIVE
COMPETENCY DOMAINS:

1. Self-Assessment and Career Exploration:

This domain helps participants discover their unique strengths, interests, and values and explore potential career paths. Activities include self- assessment tools, career research strategies, industry exploration, and goal setting.

2. Personal Marketing and Branding:

This domain covers creating a compelling personal brand to effectively market yourself to potential employers. Topics include resume and cover letter development, online presence (LinkedIn profile optimization), and personal networking strategies.

3. Navigating the Civilian Hiring Process:

This domain equips participants with the knowledge and skills to succeed in the civilian hiring process. This includes understanding the application process, interviewing techniques (behavioral, situational, and technical), salary negotiation, and accepting a job offer.

4. Translating Military Skills and Experience:

This domain helps participants articulate their military experience in a way that resonates with civilian employers. Participants will learn how to identify transferable skills, translate military jargon into civilian terms, and effectively highlight their accomplishments.

5. Professional Development and Workplace Success:

This domain focuses on equipping participants with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the civilian workplace. Topics include communication skills, teamwork and collaboration, workplace etiquette, conflict resolution, time management, and understanding company culture.
